Foccacia – A Dessert!

Have you ever had Foccacia? I have made it for years but never as a dessert! I found a scrumptious recipe for Lemon Blueberry Sourdough Foccacia and made it a few weeks ago. It was a big hit here and let me tell you, it’s probably my favorite dessert of all time!

The recipe is at Amy Bakes Bread. I followed the recipe exactly and used a 9×13 cake pan to bake it in. I used the over night method so I could bake it on a Sunday morning before Church and Dinner. It was glorious. The whole family loved it! Thank you Amy!

The steps consist of making your dough using sourdough starter and then using what is called a coil fold. Amy has instructions and even a video so you can learn how to do that.

There are four separate folding and resting periods and with one of them, you add blueberries. The recipe is in grams so you will need a kitchen scale. I highly recommend you get a kitchen scale if you don’t have one for all your baking, not just this recipe.

Here are some photos of my process.

I highly recommend this recipe if you already have some sourdough experience! You can find it at Amy Bakes Bread
