about

I’m a Christian woman who loves to teach other women about homemaking. I love to discuss theology and I love to help women grow in their relationship with God. I’ve been on the internet teaching women since 1996. I founded Christian Homekeepers at that time and I still hang out in the Facebook Group.

I have been a Christian since 1969 when I was radically transformed and regenerated by God. I took myself to Church from age 9 onward. God has allowed me to serve Him and His people in Churches for many years. I recently retired from being a director of music after serving in that capacity for over 30 years.

I’m a 26 year homeschool veteran. 5 children, 7 grandchildren. I’ve been married to my husband since 1980. I am an arm-chair historian and have worked for two different city governments as a historical interpreter, often taking my children along with me and later my husband who became interested in reenacting.

I’ve been a member of Southern Baptist Churches and a Free Will Baptist Church. I attend a Southern Baptist Church at this time. I am not a cessationist but I am definitely anti-Word of Faith and Prosperity gospel.

Conservative would best describe me. I believe that all 66 books of the Bible are inspired by God and sufficient for us as we live in this world. I am an abortion abolitionist.

Homemaking and keeping a home are big interests of mine, so is gardening. I like to make some crafty things now and then. I enjoy sewing but fabric has gotten so expensive that I don’t do much of it these days. I used to make 18th century clothing for reenactors and enjoyed that very much.

This blog is simply an outlet for me to think and write things down. Recipes, ideas, thoughts about God’s Word and Christian Living, you’ll find them all here. If you hang around, I hope some of it blesses you.
